I refuse

As a young woman,
Full of passion, life and opportunity
I refuse,
To let my heart atrophy
With the remembered pangs
Of a love once had.

For all...

For all the personal wrongs you've ever done,
For all the passive insults muttered,
For all the tears I've shed,
For all the great sobs, coughing up the gaping pieces of my broken heart,
For the complete and total devastation of my love
For all the harsh betrayal that shattered my world,
Now,
I can barely remember your face.

Jackie

Stubborn little Jackie Frost has returned,
Indigenous and proud.
He's dancing across the trees,
Skirting down the branches.
Crimson leaves have fallen,
Blood red droplets splattered across my car.
Pleased, Jackie has decided to make them stick.
He sweeps snow-white hands across the metal,
Presses numb thumbs into the glass.
Frost takes over,
Glassy spider webs
Reclaiming the man-made,
One at a time.

Opposition

The more you distinguish yourself from nature,
With all of your technology,
The more nature opposes your existence.

Gardens of Blood

Love is a rose,
That is the famous saying.
It's aroma is sweet and distinct.
Some breeds are quick to bloom,
With loud bursts of short-tempered life and vibrant colors.
Others are slower
And require much fuss and hard work to coax them to a bud.
The thorns are numerous and razor tipped,
Expert tools at pricking the flesh of the young
And my hands are shredded to ribbons
In my eager plucking deep within these gardens of blood.

Love

Only the most passionate love could create such boiling hatred.

Forever

It's funny how a string of fear can sever what was supposed to last forever.

White Knight

Look at you,
Sweet Prince,
Going around playing the white knight.
You've glossed your amour to a high shine,
Tamed your steeds wild mane.
You've painted yourself quite well,
Smiles gentle,
Eyes kind.
How have you painted me,
Honorable Prince?
Just how much have you tainted my image,
Darling love of mine?
You've filled my gaze with hate,
Scrunched a scowl across my face.
My fingers are now claws,
Reaching,
Stealing.
You've painted me bloodthirsty.
And now you tell of the fearsome beast called "Heather"
Hoping someone will come to slay me
So your cowards lies will never be uncovered.

Swollen with Affection

You better watch out,
Cupid's taken back his sickness.
Fluffy and pink,
I was swollen with affection
And he tore his sharp little arrows right out of me.

I was a geyser,
Spewing my emotions,
Begging to be plugged back up.
And Cupid took no sympathy on me.
